This day offers a well-rounded glimpse into the spiritual, royal, and cultural heart of Tibet.
Today we are going to spend a meaningful day in Lhasa visiting three of Tibet’s most important spiritual sites. We will start at Drepung Monastery, once the largest monastery in the world, known for its grand assembly hall and historical role in educating monks. Next, we will visit the Jokhang Temple, the spiritual heart of Tibetan Buddhism, where pilgrims from across Tibet prostrate and circle the sacred Barkhor Street. In the afternoon, we will explore Sera Monastery, famous for its lively monastic debates held in the courtyard, offering a unique glimpse into Buddhist learning and practice. This day highlights the depth of Tibetan monastic tradition and devotion.
At the end of your Tibet tour, fly back to Kathmandu from Lhasa Gonggar Airport. The flight takes about 1.5 hours and offers spectacular views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest on clear days.This scenic flight marks the conclusion of your high-altitude adventure across the Tibetan Plateau.
